The Cincinnati Bengals have signed linebacker Micah Johnson to the team's practice squad, the team announced via Twitter on Tuesday. A spot on the practice squad roster opened after offensive lineman Otis Hudson's promotion following Bobbie Williams' season-ending ankle injury against the Houston Texans last weekend.

Johnson signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2010 but waived later that summer. The Dolphins signed inked Johnson in August, but waived him a month later -- though he did play Miami's season opener on special teams. The Chiefs signed Johnson to their practice squad on December 8, 2010 where he remained until he was waived on September 3, 2011.

Johnson is a former Kentucky Mr. Football and First-Team All-SEC player in 2008 as a junior at the University of Kentucky.

The Cincinnati Bengals had interest in the linebacker, holding a private workout in the lead-up to the 2010 NFL Draft.
